New South Korean Army combat uniform
This is apparently what the ROK Army will be wearing in the field should they ever need to...

I can't describe it any better than the article does, really, especially the term "Halo-esque", but the highlights are...
FUMBBL
as i've mentioned before, a friend of mine is trying to get some Blood Bowl going. here's an e-mail i just got from him:
This isn't really the last call, since you can always join in later, but
we are going to start the first season by the end of this week.
FUMBBL (http://fumbbl.com) has a Java client for download. It also has a
PDF copy of the 4th Edition of the Living Rule Book (LRB 4) for download.
Matches take about an hour to an hour and a half. I'm hoping for a match
a week, but I'm not setting a deadlines in the schedule. If someone holds
Who's watching?
There's a new Watchmen trailer posted.
Computer geek help line?
All right. I have a dinosaur computer lurking in my closet. I've been keeping it with the thought that someday, when I finally get a teaching job again, I can put it in my classroom for students to work on or something. A while back I decided to go ahead and get all the stuff off of it and put it on one of my newer machines. It runs Win 95, so I went online to find kludged together USB drive drivers for it, since apparently those weren't made for the '95 OS.
Eonar
Hey All,
The new WoW looms, and much to our chagrin, we are on a PvE server now. Shannon, Ken, Ryan, Reggie, Dale. We are playing with some people we know from NCDC here in Asheville that are in the AF. If anyone is interested, let us know. The guild name is Ring of Honor.

I WANT to be a computer geek
OK, calling all computer geeks. I am in the market for a netbook. For what, you may ask?
#1: My husband won't get off Travian long enough to do anything on MY computer at home.
#2: To get rid of my oh-so-unstylish paper using appointment book for my massage business...not that I've been THAT busy lately. But I digress.
#2A: Also, managing what little finances I bring in from said business.
#3: Writing a bit when the muse strikes and I've left my paper using writing implements elsewhere.
#4: Email, keeping up with the Dunfoamin' world, web banking, etc.
Jeep Cherokee
OK, I have been keeping my eye open for an older Jeep (Just Empty Every Pocket) Cherokee, and today I found one.
It's a 5-speed, 4.0 litre in-line 6 cyl. It's got 174K miles on the clock, but I got it for $900. The interior isn't bad at all and it's even got a new JVC CD player.
It came with the bike rack, too!
Apart from getting the A/C back in working order before summer, where should I start? Any 4X4 folks here?
Fallout 3
Welcome to the end of the world bitches! This is for all you fanboys (and girls) that cringed with you heard Bethesda was picking up the Fallout franchise after the sad demise of Black Isle Studio (of Baulder's Gate fame)and swore you'd never touch Bethesda's filthy bastardized version of a Pip-Boy ever again! Well fear not, fear-mongers. Bethesda pulled out a winner.
Gorefang
Hey,
I'm gonna hang out on gorefang for a bit tonight (Tethrin) next to the guild creator lady if we can scrounge up enough people.
I'll see if I can find y'all too.

Election 2008
Watching the vote is some good crack.
It's unlikely I'll be gaming tonight, as the big game is a lot more exciting.
I think I need to make a dunfoamin.org IRC server for us :)
