Any suggestions for what to see while I'm in the Southern Hemisphere next month?

I may do a tandem parachute thing. Or ski, by myself or with my Mom's penpal's kids. (did that make sense?) Or a kayak tour. Or a LOTR tour. I think there are at least three. To give the old folks some down time for visiting.
