A Special Mother's Day

Some (or most) of you have probably seen this already, but if not, I think there's some really nice sentiment being shared here. This isn't normally my style of music, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, so give it a chance.

A special Mother's Day

Some of you may need some background, so watch this first.

A special Christmas

NSFW warning!

Noooooo!!

To further obscure the answer to Steve's question:

Dear Rachel

What sad times are these when edgy, snark-filled food show hosts make nice with the embodiment of culinary mediocrity and catch phrase populism. There is a pestilence upon this land. Nothing is sacred.

When God gets pissed

You do not want to be in the vicinity.

I don't know what the people here did wrong, but it must have been really, really wrong.

Here's a link to a few more shots of God's wrath.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Dunfoamin is 10!

Go to pandora.com, type in The Pogues, turn up the volume . . . and oh yes,
drink!

And of course, Happy Anniversary to us all.

Pegging the Randometer again

Only in Asheville:

[From the Asheville Citizen-Times]
"Supporters of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will have plenty to see outside the Civic Center if they are unable to get inside for her Sunday appearance.

"As many as 700 zombies are expected to amble up Flint Street past the Civic Center about 5 p.m., just after doors open for the Palin event."

Stat of the Week

For those of you who don't pay attention (most of you, I'd guess):
The Chicago Cubs have the best record in baseball--as of June 1st.
Why is this important? Well, to you it may not be, but to me it is because the last time the Cubs had the best record in baseball this late in the season was 1908, which coincidentally was the last time the Cubs won the World Series.

Yeast (a love poem)

Yeast

Where the black iron and bitter-sweet roast of a pint of Dublin's finest?
Where the golden stars from Champagne

An auspicious day

Happy Birthday Dunfoamin!

Can it be nine years already, since our little fellowship marched bravely into that big creepy house?

And what a nice birthday present, Bill, to start up a new way for us all to get together.

I think there must be a Guinness--or two--in all our futures this evening.

To Dunfoamin! To the APRF! Death to the Pig-fuckers and weasels!
