I've got a Pandigital Novel. It's an Android tablet running some odd variant of Android that doesn't recognize market:// URLs, meaning I can't install any new apps on it -- it's just stuck as a perfectly functioning tablet / e-reader, but that's all it will ever be.

I've seen some stuff online about reflashing the Novel with a replacement fully-functional version of Android (while keeping the DRM and your media collection), but I'm just wondering whether anyone has any tips, tricks, or hints to bear in mind before I jump in with both feet...
