Really good interview with Larry Wall of Perl fame

One of the best parts, for me, is (regarding "where do you see Perl in 20 years from now?"):

Don't design everything you will need in the next 100 years, but design the ability to create things we will need in 20 or 100 years.

I thought that was really cool and very wise. I wish I could explain that to certain co-worker(s) of mine now. Sometimes it's worth the little extra effort now to have a larger pay-off later. This is a 5-page interview, but with the page ads and small amount per page, it's a fairly short read.

Also for the geeks, ComputerWorld did interviews with Alfred Aho, the 'A' in 'awk' guy (yes, 'awk' is the initials of three guys who worked on it. hah!), Steve Bourne of Bourne 'sh'ell fame, and also the Bash shell guy:

Very interesting reads and a nice romp through Unix memory lane :)
