"And I knelt there at the delta...

And like a blessing come from heaven
for something like a second
I was healed and my heart
was at ease."

-Leonard Cohen, "Light as the breeze"

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who were able to make it to the easter thing. I really appreciated your company. It was a day that made me very happy - as I hope that it made you happy too. (It seemed like it).

I even got help with the clean up. Thanks Drew and Lindsey!

For those of you who were unable to make it due to work (or whatever), I missed you. I hope you can make it next time.

There was some talk about gathering regularly - I know I'm interested - so let's do it.

Thanks again,
j

I posted the following [edit: "above" apparently my brain is still addled.] to Facebook just before I found out that I had to be at work at *9 am* on Monday and missed the opportunity to post to dunfoamin.

I also realize that I left out some very important thanks:

Thank you Dom. Your prep help was invaluable and made sure that food was ready in a relatively timely fashion. Couldn't have done it without you. Everybody give Dom a round of applause.

Thank you Steve for driving all that distance, bringing Lisa and then helping Dom roll all of those Dolmades. I just made the filling, you guys did all of the work.

Thank you everyone for coming. As I said above, there's always next year for those of you who couldn't make it.

There was also a general discussion of doing a rotating gathering - I know some of the people from the restaurant were interested as well. Let me know what you're thinking if you're interested.

Oh yeah, I had an interesting brainwave related to the Cubano sandwich. I blogged about it. You can read about it here. I would love to get some feed back from any of you who might have the time to read it.
