1.2.1 Live Today
Well, 1.2.1 is up and running now. The Overview News Article is here, while the Patchnotes are here. Looks like some major changes to oRvR with regard to keep takes and the like. Also many changes I think our group will be glad for. The Guild window should be working properly, including permissions. Doesn't look like they swung the nerf bat nearly so recklessly as was anticipated. Archmages and Shaman actually got an overall damage buff. Bright Wizards' Rain of Fire and Sorcerers' Pit of Shades don't overlap the same way anymore - if you have multiple casts on the same area, the effects don't stack damage anymore, they stack number of targets affected. While that makes me a little grumbly for my own damage's sake, its worth giving up for the knowledge I won't get insta-killed by 4 BWs on a keep wall anymore. I'm not sure what tactics Bill would usually have up when we're all playing; Daniel, I'm not sure you'll be happy about some of the changes they made to some DoK abilities, tactics in particular. It might be kinda like the Da' Toughest! nerf, though...unwelcome, but acceptable. Oh, and I think that quest from Bastion Stair that let you pick "zero of the following rewards" is supposed to work now; I don't know if any concession is being made for people like me who went ahead and turned it in while broken.
Anyway, there's a lot that got changed and updated. At least take a look at the overview, although there's much, much more of interest in the patch notes.
