Jen is out of town the 20th-22nd. Obviously short notice, but I figured it was worth seeing what the availability would be.

Unlike the Stately Duane Manor, I only have one extra bedroom that actually has a bed. That said, there's a couch and floor space if folks need a place to crash.

So check your calendars, question any interested parties outside of our normal group, and let me know if that's a date that might work. If so, great! If not, we'll look for another date later down the road.

We LAN'd the original constantly in college, nothin like it! Busting your buds, or simply torching them. There is an arcade feel to it all, but hey... that's what keeps all skill levels playing and involved.

What are we going to do? More L4D2? Kick back with some UT?

For those of y'all that don't have it, now is the time to get it. The Orange Box is on sale right now for ten bucks. If you like First Person Shooters *at all* this is a great deal. Half-Life 2 alone is worth it, and to get the whole collection is awesome.

So, Micah mentioned something on Wednesday at the Officer's Meeting East and it got me to thinking.

For our Thursday night game, would anyone/everyone be willing to take a trip down Memory Lane and play some Netrek? It's definitely old school, but I have to say that it still figures highly in my memories as one of the all time best online games I've ever played.

It's free (heck, it's open source) and the graphics are, well, simple is probably an understatement, so nobody should have a problem with running it.

Apparently there is a Scout update, so they are selling TF2 for 10$ on Steam.

If you have a PC, go now, install Steam, buy TF2 and come play with us on Thursdays.

Well, I got Spore from Direct2drive. It's like The Sims for geeks (and I played the shit out of The Sims). It's cute, easy to play, *stunning* graphics, neato music/sound fx... well shit, it's a Maxis game.

I foresee yet another sleep stealer for me. 'Tween that and Warhammer, I think I need to win the lottery or something and go ahead and quit work :)
