When it comes to computers, I am a user. But not in the talismanic godlike way that Flynn was in Tron (you know they're making a sequel to that?). I use computers without knowing more than vague ideas aboput how the inner workings, um, work. I still hold onto an old layman's description I got from Jac about the difference between ROM and RAM. In spite of my knowledgenessless, I know that my laptop is a dinosaur. At four years old, the 1.3Ghz Celeron processor with 248 Mb of memory and a 25 G hard drive wasn't cutting edge when it was new.
